I am finding that my very shy kids are not so shy when it comes to video making. We were practicing for a play and the kids didn't know the camera was on. They were re-enacting Plymouth Rock and the first time Columbus met the Native Americans. The kids put the meeting and thanksgiving dinner conversation to a rap beat. When they were finished I showed them the tape I had made. The shy kids were so surprised at how they came across. How they were involved with the class and actually the center of attention. This discovery has made a big difference in their demeanor ever since One of my most shy students is going to be the focus of my project.

I feel very rushed with this project. I don't feel that I am knowledgeable enough to actually present a credible project, especially when there will be school and district administrators in attendance. All that said, I think I am finally understanding what needs to be done and what is expected. I will say that I am very excited to get back to work and start videoing my students. I took alot of still shots last year, so I am really excited about video and photo story telling.
